Staci Bender Epstein
Staci is a dynamic serial entrepreneur with a deep belief in the power of networking, connection, and relationships. These core values have shaped her journey and inspire her every day. Over the years, Staci has successfully matched people and companies, solving client problems and helping individuals thrive in their careers. This passion for fostering connections led her to found her second company, Be Group.
With over two decades of experience, Staci has built a strong network of some of the region’s top leaders. Her extensive business background, involvement on numerous boards, and expertise in sales and marketing have equipped her with the skills to ask the right questions, understand client needs, and identify candidates who exceed expectations.
An Inspiring Entrepreneur
Before launching Be Group, Staci was the Founder and Principal of Slice Communications, a Public Relations and Social Media agency she established in 2007. Her reputation as a hardworking and goal-oriented entrepreneur was built on her authenticity and commitment to being extraordinary and inspiring—qualities that are integral to who she is.
Building a Foundation
Staci’s career began after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, where she entered the field of account management and business development at Markitects, a strategic marketing, branding, and communications agency. She later served as marketing manager for Innovation Philadelphia, an economic development organization, and as a business development manager at MISI Company (now NTT Data), an IT staffing and consulting firm.
Awards
In 2016, Staci was honored as one of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, an award recognizing young professionals in Greater Philadelphia for their outstanding success and contributions to the community. This accolade highlights some of the region’s most entrepreneurial and influential emerging leaders.
Boards and Volunteering
In 2024, Staci became involved with The Neurodiversity Employment Network (NEN), an organization dedicated to helping neurodivergent individuals find meaningful employment. She also joined Life Sciences PA (LSPA) to support Pennsylvania’s leadership in the life sciences industry by connecting people and resources. Additionally, Staci became active with The Advisory Network for Small Business (ANSB), a nonprofit organization that assists new and established businesses in achieving growth and success.
For over a year, Staci has been a member of the Philadelphia Society of People & Strategy (PSPS), where she serves on the Membership Committee, focusing on peer support, thought leadership, and connecting strategic leaders in the Greater Philadelphia area. She has also been a lifelong member of the Philadelphia Alliance for Capital & Technologies (PACT), a key resource for fast-growing companies and a driving force for entrepreneurship and innovation in the region.
From 2016 to 2023, Staci was actively involved with Summer Search, an organization that empowers students from low-income backgrounds to develop the skills necessary to become college-educated leaders who give back to their communities. She served as the Auction co-Chair for Summer Search's Annual Golf Outing.
Staci has also contributed her time and expertise to numerous organizations over the past several years, including the POWER of Professional Women, POWER of Professional Women (PWR), Alliance of Women Entrepreneurs (AWE), 100+ Women Who Care , ETHOS GSFM, Philadelphia 100, The Philadelphia Area New Media Association (PANMA), The International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA), Jewish Family and Children’s Service (JFCS), and the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE). She served as Vice President of the Young Friends Committee of Tree House Books and was on the Executive Committee of Project Empower for Jewish Family and Children Services (JFCS). Staci has been involved with JEVS Human Services, the Variety Club, and was a Community Sponsor for Conestoga High School’s Senior Internship Program.
Additionally, Staci has shared her knowledge as a guest speaker on various platforms, including Executive Leaders Radio, Villanova University’s MBA program on social media strategy, Temple University’s Blackstone Launchpad program on leadership and entrepreneurship, and the 2014 Moxie Women Conference on networking.
